Joe Volk has 32 years of long-span bridge operating, construction, design, safety, maintenance and engineering experience. He has proven success in delivering engineering design documents and construction knowledge gained on major infrastructure projects, having served as both a Project Manager for design and as a Resident Engineer for construction. Joe’s accomplishments include design, construction, and the maintenance and operation of suspension bridges, interstate highway, overpasses, marine ferry docking and facilities, and airport projects. Joe formerly served as Acting Chief Engineer, Supervisory Senior Engineer, and Project Engineer for the Delaware River and Bay Authority at the Delaware Memorial Bridge Twin Spans and Cape May-Lewes Ferry. Joe has served as a Branch Manager and Senior Associate for Van Cleef Engineering Associates. Joe has also served as the Deputy Structures Department Manager for HNTB. Through managing a variety of long span bridge, interstate highway, railroad structures, and marine ferry docking projects, he has gained experience in design, construction, maintenance, scheduling, integration, planning, constructability, project management, program management and production management of even the most complex projects.
